You think One Punch Man is generic?
I think the comic is a lot of fun. I haven't read it all yet, if it's more of a one trick pony as it goes on than it shouldn't be adapted as a series. But I wouldn't mind an ova or 2.

I was expecting that, but so far it actually seems to become less of a one-trick pony as it goes on. Some of the later side-stories, at least, are excellent.

Wish people would read it before calling it generic, still when has not knowing what you're on about ever stopped anyone commenting on the internet lol.
Viz need to get this out in print, having it digital only is criminally dumb

Aren't they referring to the remake version that is published in tankoubon form? The original work is web-only but this one's been in print for a couple of years now.

The fact that it's drawn by Yusuke Murata is a plus. I loved Eyeshield 21.

An anime is never going to look as good as the art for this. Just look at Eyeshield 21.

Too soon for anime. As I recall this has a lot of chapters where basically nothing happens aswell, so I'd rather they at least wait and not give us some butchered 13-episode season with a filler ending.

I'm not sure the original web-comic has even finished its run, the remake is quite a bit behind.
I do agree that it's too soon for an adaptation, they'll need to cover up to the Garou arc before content is substantial enough to allow for an adaptation over 1 quarter.

Yeah. While OPM is very powerful, it tends to focus more on supporting characters, and also OPM wandering aimlessly towards the big threat. He's strong, not perfect. It's somewhat a meta commentary on DBZ sort of fights, where the supporting characters do their thing but ultimately Goku, who takes forever to get there, has to end up smacking the enemy down.

There's no way this is coming to an ending any time soon, but there is no "mission arc" to this series, so there's no reason they couldn't properly pace themselves and end up with a 12 or maybe even 24 episode finite series that ends on a reasonably satisfying arc like the recent "invaders" arc.

Slap yourself as you read the manga. Anyone with half a brain would see this is a bad idea.
