I have a question...
What does, or rather, what do you think the very first line in the Lucky Star OP says? My friend insists with absolutely certainty that it's "I My San-senchi" (I my 3-cm), the fansubbers transliterate it that way, as do many blogs. However, my other friends (WP and PG) tell me it's "I buy sausage(s)", and 4chan seems to think that as do many other blogs. It sounds more like "I my 3-cm", but "I buy sausage" makes more sense (slightly). Both seem highly possible. I'm torn here. Any guesses? |

"Sausage" was a complete joke, and even "I my 3-cm" was not exactly correct. The original lyric is 曖昧３センチ (pronounced aimai san senchi), which means "the ambiguous 3 cm," presumed to be referring to zettai ryōiki (絶対領域), the space of bare skin thigh between the top of over-knee socks and the lower edge of a miniskirt. It may not be correct, but I BUY SAUSAGE has still given birth to some pretty awesome gifs. (And some creative and unusual H-art, but I won't link to that here since most people would probably rather not see poorly drawn fanart of spoiler[Konata masturbating with a sausage.]) |

Uh, I never actually thought what they were saying was "I buy sausage". It's just a popular joke.
Hot. Somebody needs to make higher quality pics of it though. And now something that doesn't have to do with the rest of that but is Lucky Star related. I just happened to find this while looking through random Youtube crap. Awesome remix. This is pretty weird too. |

The name of the song is 地上の星, Chijo no Hoshi. From what I hear, it was the OP for the show Project X on the Japanese TV station NHK. That's second-hand information, though.

Well, Miyuki and Tsukasa don't know any crazy songs, so I wasn't expecting another amusing anime song. Those will pretty much always come from Konata, I'm guessing. Kagami sang Sore ga Ai Desho only because she's a fan of the FMP novel series (you can see her reading them in a few scenes).

You know, all the places I could find said it was released today (I actually just ordered it no more than 10 minutes ago. Some places still have it set to pre-order). But I know I have heard the full version before floating around on the internet. I'm not very familiar with it but did they release it some other way before the single came out? If somebody could clear that up for me I'd appreciate it... Edit: Rank 3 on Oricon. Not as good as Haruhi, but close... I thought i saw some traces of AIR in LS
in episode 4 around 14:10 the setting in the living room is similiar to that of Kamio house's the setting taking place in the summer,the way the furniture is placed near the door, the "speaking into the rotating fan blade" act by yukito, the number of persons surrounding the table... dono if it's just me.. heh |
