OK, I'm tired of just searching around, so I'll ask it straight out:

What happened to Urban Vision?

This is a really bad question to ask because I'm a store owner. I've been trying to order their products from my various distributors for months and can't get anything. No Vampire Hunter D, no Wicked City, no nothing. My rental copy of Bloodlust just went MIA and I'm worried my copy of the original will be going the same way.

I get no response to e-mail or phone. Nothing mentioned in searching the ANN archives to a going-out-of-business. So I'm asking people who might have better contacts than I do...

Do you run a theater as well?

Uh... no... Why do you ask?

If this is sarcasm, I'm missing it. If it's legit, I apologize for the previous statement.

I think they moved into live action titles or something.

Well, they had announced that they were adding live-action movies to their catalog, but Media Blasters and ADV does that as well, and they are still doing anime.

While I am not in the distribution chain, so I wouldn't know, however when I bought Wicked City through an online provider, it took four months for them to get a hold of the DVD before they could send it to me! I don't know if they are going down or anything, but the are definitely slow. I do know there website is still up. Maybe you should contact them to see what is up, or is that the same email address you have been using? If worse comes to worse contact the webmaster, maybe he will be able to get you in contact with them.

It's a reference to a thread we had awhile back from someone who claimed to run a theater and wanted to show anime there. We never really settled on its veracity.

Ninja Scroll TV sold badly. UV had a huge investment in it.

I've already tried to e-mail them, call them, etc. Though I hadn't thought about the webmaster route. I'll give it a shot.
