Wow! What a historic event! I figured this would be something that Fujishima would work on for his entire life!

If only Toren Smith could have seen this day...

End of an era. It was a fun ride and I can't wait to see what the announcement is.

Wow.
I knew this day would come, but this is a long-running series. Fujishima is an awesome artist, and I really loved reading this manga and watching the anime adaptations. I look forward to seeing how the manga will end. This manga caused a "revolution" of sorts.

All the best to Fujishima.

It's been so long, believe it when I see it. Laughing
That's one of the longest marriage engagements.
(Did they figure out to do the hair animation yet?)

ASKDJGHAKSDUYFTOWIEUHKJLCBGVLSJCBGVOAIUDSGKL!! WHAT?!?!? (mind=super blown).

I mean, sure, logically there has to be an end one way or another, but I really feel like this is out of the blue. I suppose things have been escalating in the series (I'm following the Dark Horse volumes, so I'm not up to scanlation speed; tag those spoilers!), but I admit I thought this series would go forever.

While it may not have had the greatest success, for long time anime fans, especially those of us in America, Oh! My Goddess (as it was known) was an institution, nearly. It was there alongside Ranma 1/2 and Slayers and everything, with Dark Horse slowly but surely publishing each and every volume. I really got used to the idea that Ah! My Goddess was just a touch of the old-school in modern times, despite the art-style changes.

Wow. End of an era, indeed. It will be interesting to see what Fujishima decides to do from here (if anything).

WHAT?!!!

My God, I thought that thing would be around forever...bittersweet, but cool that it's finally going to get wrapped up.

Welp, guess I have no reason not to buy it now. I read the first couple volumes a long time ago and loved it, but it was yet another long-ass series on my plate with no end in sight (Inuyasha was still running at the time, phoo), so I dropped it. English translation was very funny though, as I remember it.

Afterthought: Ah yes, I forgot about Toren Smith. It's indeed sad that he never lived to see one of his favorite manga that he brought to America end.

this was the series that helped get me into anime and helped get me into manga, eventually.

i don't even know how to feel..it wasn't a surprise, though, considering the most recent manga chapters and volume sales. there was a big conversation about this on the goddess-project forums..

I've never read or watched this series, and my knowledge of it is minimal at best, but its sad to hear another long running manga is ending. I've been wanting to read this one, so I guess I don't have an excuse not to now...

I've always been a bit interested in checking out this series, and the series has been around since before I was born. Amazing that its ending, after all these years. looks like its time I check it out, especially because I love Fujishima's art.

Which era? Multiple eras have come and gone during A!MG's run.

Wow, that's surprising that it's finally wrapping up. Guessing that even Japan was getting tired of them not getting to the ending or Fujishima is just wanting to retire.

Now the next long-running one that really needs to end is Detective Conan.
