There's also this feature on the internet that lets you make as many email account as you want, thus making as many twitter accounts as you want. Changing IP is not hard either, or even just using a proxy to create the account if they did an IP ban.
He's also the VA of Shiroe in Log Horizon, something more popular and more relevant.

Well if he's getting nasty message via private message, then I don't think that can't be blocked (I think). I think the block people worked for tweet but not private message. Maybe that's why Terashima closes down Twitter.
But I like to add that he should've just threaten the people that harass him that can he can sue for lawsuit. I mean Taecyeon of 2PM threaten his anti-fans with a lawsuit if more nasty rumor continue to spread around Twitter. If Takuma Terashima had been more like Taecyeon, then he didn't have to close down his Twitter account.

Harassers don't go away just by blocking them. They're committed enough that they just live to make your life miserable no matter how extreme they go about it. I'd delete my twitter too. Who wants to deal with that?

In Korea there's strong laws against harassment online. Not only will the police go after you, they'll also arrest you, get fines and sent you to jail for several years.

Basically what I'm hearing is, all twitter accounts are subject to deletion once the trolls latch on? Why even bother in the first place? I'm not saying everyone can just ignore it but if you're gonna kill your connection with your fans cause some douchebags have an agenda then what were you trying to accomplish to begin with?
On the flipside, I'm not even sure twitter is as powerful a media marketing monster in Japan as it is in America, cause if it was I'm pretty sure his publicist would have urged against this.

Seriously, what's with today's harassment?
This guy happens to have a lot of 2nd-to-hero roles, supporting and minor roles. His roles were really not a great list, some of his voice roles were boring but he looks pretty meek to me. His biggest role to date was probably, Shiroe.
Was his Shiroe not up to the Log Horizon faithfuls? I am not really up to date with Japan's showbizness but honestly, I hope the reasons for this harassment won't be as silly as it can get.
