Man, this is rather amusing for it coming after Kyoukai no Kanata considering Chuunibyou is going to end up poking fun the very essence of that last show.

The first series was my pick for the top new series of 2012, so this is the Winter 2014 series I'm probably most looking forward to. I am most curious to see where the series goes next since it fully and satisfyingly resolved all of its storylines at the end of the first series.

I'm looking forward to this but, oh gawd...I hope KyoAni didn't make another eye-rape OP. Cause that last one...yeah.

Oh good. Can't wait for some more physical abuse comedy on the Chuunis.

First season was probably the least worst Kyoani show I tried since the Keyani era but still pretty moronic in the end. The whole thing was pretty brainless but I legitimately laughed at some of the early material. I hated though how the solution to everything was basically lets just let this girl live in her fantasy world cause it's less emotionally taxing on her than facing reality and overcoming it or something logical like that.

Of course it's Kyoani so this show obviously will have it's fervent fanbase that will proclaim it's "brilliance" from the highest hill they can find, but I really don't see myself double dipping on Chuunibyou.

It's funny cause I'm legitimately interested to know the answer to this and pretty much only this. We all know it has to happen cause Kyoani has their new Fujoshi audience to please, the only questions are who is it, how much like a typical Free/Kyokai scene does it play out and how awkward and out of place does the scene manage to become.

Oh, yes, because of course the only reason someone would actually think the series was good was if they were a slavish KyoAni devotee. Rolling Eyes

That's exactly why I give no credibility to the opinions of those who blindly hate on a company so much that they cannot accept that such a show was actually made well.

As far as Kyoani shows go, Chuunibyou was pretty much average and of a style their encompasses their usual hijinks, gags and comedy. So if you're a fan of that stuff or you liked Kyoani's previous series of that style then you'll have a blast with s2.

I was somewhat amused by the first half as there were some genuinely funny parts (as well as equally facepalm worthy stuff when the series bordered on too much silly slapstick nonsense or acting cute for the sake of cute), but unfortunatley came crashing down in the second half when the goofiness turned into... wangsty melodrama and forced romance. Hopefully s2 will keep it lighthearted and goofy and none of the forced serious stuff and the mood whiplash from silly to melodramatic which reminds me why I don't like Key in general.

As Kyoani as a studio goes, I'm not particularly a fan but I do acknowledge they have high production values and that they have "polish" in their series. Where I drop tons of Light novel adaptations and harem comedies by the dozen per season, I usually watch a significant amount of Kyoani episodes and sometimes even finish Kyoani series so they must to me they are at least above average.

Except when your series is called Munto, Haruhi Season 2, Kyoukai no Kanata. Those are legitimately bad.

Clearly you didn't watch the ending.

Because people who really like Chu2koi are a part of a "fervent fanbase" that only likes KyoAni's shows because they're made by KyoAni.
That's definitely the reason those people like the show.

Just because Free!'s target audience was mainly females doesn't mean that KyoAni will put fujoshi service in every show.
Besides, Chu2koi S1 had a scene where Makoto rested his head on Yuuta's shoulder.
If Chu2koi S2 has fujoshi pandering scenes in it, then it's definitely not because of Free!.

I guess in your world, the KyoAni fanbase just came into existence out of nowhere one day and randomly decided to praise any and all KyoAni shows. I mean that must've been it, since they never made anything deserving of the amounts of praise they get in the first place. So yeah, logically, the fanbase just magically appeared one day.

Ooooorrrrrr... It's not everyone else that is wrong, it's just you that's a bitter, irrational hater. That could be it as well.

The KyoAni fanbase of today is the poor saps whose minds were destroyed in the apocalypse of stupid that was Endless Eight.

Or don't have much of anything between the left and right ear.
