I'd like to know how we as posters can tell if something we have reported has been taken care of. I'm not talking about reporting spam; that's obvious.So, for this and future reference, on the less typical reports, how do we know??

There's the old idea of PM'ing them. I've found that to work pretty well for me.

True, that is one option. Another isn't a perfect option but it works, if a post has a report against it that has not been dealt with it won't let you report it again, it will say the post has already been reported if you try. If it has been reported but the report has been closed by the mods then it will not prevent you from using the report option again.
