I got this ad for the first time in the new Answerman thread, and I'm shocked and somewhat disgusted that ANN would have such an unsightly (and possibly offensive to some people) ad like this on its site.
I know ANN needs the money from these ads, but could you remove this particular one if at all possible? Maybe this is just my unnatural fear of needles talking, but that’s a pretty unpleasant picture, to say the least.

Considering kids do post here, or at least browse, I'm suprised this would be allowed on ANN for it's more mature theme. I figured that would be a big no no.

Ahh I see own it febuary 13th...eh...sorry seriously though I have seen some out of place ads...though I though it was funny. All I know is there was a girl in a jacket not wearing a bra and this one...there might have been another one but I can't remember too well. That is a pretty unsightly ad but I don't think they planned on keeping it around for very long...then again I could be wrong.

Umm, yeah. I never expected to see an ad like that myself on here, but I haven't seen it since four in the afternoon, so I wonder if they took it down.

Wow... how on earth did an ad like that get on ANN in the first place? I'm pretty sure those types of ads usually wouldn't be allowed on this site, so I'm quite suprised it made it through. I haven't spotted it yet, so it probably was taken down.

No comments yet, and I'm assuming all the tech staff is currently sleeping off a long night. Anyway, from what I've seen of the advertising systems you can pick what you want based on broad categories but sometimes the explanations aren't clear enough and sometimes the advertising services just plain screw up. Remember the illustrated gay animal sex that Wal-Mart was supposedly selling on their website, well this is probably a similar story of a simple screw-up further up the data entry chain. ANN has some risqué content from time to time, but I really don't think this was intentional.

10円 is right. That's not a "brand ad," but rather a category ad. When our regular ad space isn't completely sold out, we run some network ads.
We don't really control, via any sort of pre-screening, what ends up on the site through these network ads. We merely select, and opt out of various categories. DVD releases are high on our list, and we've opted out of porn and gambling.
