Assuming this report is correct, Madman does have the R4 SaiKano license. No announcement about the R1 yet, though.

SaiKano and GadGuard were announced at the same time in the same convention, by the same company. As for the US licensors, they've decided to keep themselves in the dark for the moment (it would of been licensed in the US, or madman wouldn't of gotten it because they can't afford to dub or sub it themselves and sub only releases fail here (supposedly))

Mad man, no!
I'm sure a high caliber company got this high caliber anime, It has to be Bandai or Geneon with my main weight on Geneon and if someone else has it they better do a good job, and if ADV has it the better make a good box! |

I'm with hellomojo on this one. Pioneer/Geneon is the company I'd expect to pick up something this pretty. It fits right in with their other main series (especially the CLAMP stuff).
Although, there is one other company that it seems to me would give this series its proper treatment (especially now that Coastal is back in action as Phoenix). Animeigo, I think, would handle Saikano wonderfully. |

As long as it's got unedited subs, I don't care who licenses SaiKano. Sure, seeing a dub would be cool, but I've been waiting for this series to come out since I heard about it last year.
John over at AnimeNation said that it is licensed for the US, but he wouldn't divulge any information (good on him for keeping trade secrets!). |
