Interesting

Remind me to the times when I was struggling to enter university, but instead of Dragon Zakura, my "hero to look up to" was Urashima Keitaro Laughing

Good thing, but I'm not really sure about the ease of marketing in Indonesia with that style of art.

Looking forward for the live action, though, it could be a better bet if done right.

Reminds me of something Jonathan Clements wrote about in Neo a few months ago. Umm.. "Suraj the Rising Star"

Quote:
The first Japan/India collaborated TV animation “Suraj, the Rising Star is a coming of age story of a spirited boy who struggles out of his life in the slums to become a legendary cricket player. The story is an inspiring adaptation based on Japan’s classic masterpiece animation “Star of The Giants” – an adaptation from Japanese soul sports “Baseball” into Indian “Cricket”. The first Japan/India collaborated TV animation which will embark a symbolic feature of the 60th anniversary of Japan/India friendship.
