Is 11PM like the new anime time? Afro Samurai starts at 11:00 PM I guess it might have to do with the amount of violence and how you can get away with more on TV after 10 o'clock. Or at least that how I understand it.

My DVR is already programmed
I am curious about one thing. IFC was already showing Basilisk a month or so ago and suddenly stopped. I wonder if they will start over or continue where they left off at ep 5 or 6(can't remember exactly).

It's great to see less mainstream anime on TV. I hope this will give Gunslinger Girl the popularity it deserves and then incite ADV to get on with the release of the fourth volume of the manga

IFC showed a 4 episode "preview" of Baslisk last year. I don't really know why they chose to do that... Anyway, they are starting over from ep. 1 now.

I am going to make sure to watch both shows tonight. I was wondering when they were going to come on. I am glad they are going to be starting over at episode 1. I missed episodes 2-4 because I thought IFC was showing the first episode only.

IFC handles their anime programming better than G4 or Tech TV and Cartoon Network all combined.
They did a great job with Samurai 7 (which is getting a reshowing on Saturday mornings now in case anyone is interested) and I know they us do a super job with these two.

This is great, I'll watch CoLours TV from Kodocha up to YuYu Hakusho, then turn it over to IFC for Gunslinger and Basilisk

I'm getting a little tired of all the samurai shows. When can a genre be put to bed? Especially with recently watching samurai 7 now afro samurai plus basilisk!

Wow. I still really like all the samurai stuff.. I have a lower tolerance for NINJA stuff which is what I thought Basilisk is, but it's the whole Ninja Scroll stuff which I like.
When can a genre be put to bed? Asking for samurai stories to end is like saying we can't make any more westerns here in the US. It's our heritage, just like the samurai stuff is deeply engrained in Japanese history. I can't imagine a world without western (as in Wild West) reflected. Of course. living in SoCal, I am constantly surrounded by it. Not unlike samurai stuff in Japan, I imagine.

The show was awsome!
i just tuned in last night, after i listened to DJ-K5, and i waited for the show to begin, this could be the next Cowboy Bebop...
IFC was so focused when they were promoting it!
Also, i've heard from Warner Bros./CBS Corp. about .... you don't wanna know for now....
