One thing I noticed through my search of the internet is: it isn't easy to find out how to start voice acting. You might find one place that sends you to another. Then they have nothing and neither do you. Does anyone know how I can find out if it's possible for me to do voice acting? Like: where to send a demo tape and how to make one.

Unsolicited demo tapes will probably not even be listened to. Your best bet is to get involved in the local theater. You can get plenty of practice and if you're any good you can get noticed.

The other big thing is to be in a market that is looking for voice actors. Right now, that's L.A., Houston, Dallas and New York... and some places in Canada, but I'm more familiar with the U.S. scene.

In Dallas and Houston, the companies often have open auditions advertised in the local talent rags. Slots are limited, so its often first come, first serve.

As the person above mentioned, yes, its important to have some acting experience, and if you're doing theater in the major areas, then some of your fellow actors are probably involved with the voice acting scene and can get you in contact with the right people.

Over at the Dub Review forum, there's an entire topic dedicated to "How To Get Into The Voice Acting Industry" with stuff written by a couple of voice actors, including Chris Patton and Kyle Hebert.

Here's a link to the thread:Enjoy!

However, you'll have to change which threads are visible at the bottom from "last 30 days" to "beginning" so you can see all the topics.
