If we can get the One Piece games (and the Saint Seiya one of all things) I hope we can get this.

If the game has a story mode, I can see a subplot where Gon and Yusuke develop a brother-like relationship. Obvious reason is obvious.

...Why is the dude on a bicycle in the game? Does he really count as a star? I have never seen him before this, and clicking the page for the manga he is from leads me to believe that most people haven't either.

And Yu Yu Hakusho... I have fond memories of that series from Toonami. I may pick up the blurays just for a nostalgia trip some day.

If you're talking about KochiKame you can bet he's a "Jump Star" in Japan. The manga has been running for nearly 40 years and has over 180 published volumes; I think it's the longest running manga in history and Japanese just love it. I reckon, it doesn't seem the most fit for a battle game since afaik the manga is a comedy and he's like a dorky cop or something like that, but I think he's the evidence that popularity is the norm for this game

This game isn't being made for westerners. He's a popular character in Japan.

He's the main character of the longest running manga in Japan and the third highest selling Shonen Jump series. It's got more volumes than the current entirety of Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto combined. Wink

Exactly, it'll be a [expletive] travesty if we don't get this. But I'm still having doubts because all those other jump games never came out in other countries besides Japan.

If it doesn't come outside of JP I'm downloading that bitch in Japanese.

Nonono, I'd so rather have Kumagawa instead lol. I could imagine the developers having trouble with him, since his powers are the cheapest thing you'll ever see.

I hope they don't just fill the roster with characters from the Big Four (Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball, One Piece). I'd much rather see a multitude of both new and old characters. Shaman King, Yu-gi-oh, Mazinger Z, Death Note, Kinnikuman, Fist of the North Star, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, heck, even Bobobo! All these franchises should get representations. If they really look through their history and pull out some old fan favorites, there's no doubt I'm getting this game, whether I have to import it or not.

The "Ultimate" Jump game will be re-released on the PS4 (with extra DLC, of course).

Now that I know Gintoki's in it, I wanna know if Kagura will be there. She'd probably devour her way to the championship belt.
