Tales of "Favorite" seems to be something to become a companion title. There -was- Tales of Fandom after all...
I guess we'll see where this mess of titles goes...

... They are boring me now. They should apply for the rights of "tales of" like Paris Hilton trying to own the right to be the only person who could use the word "Hot".
Have they had Tales of Tales?

Same thing they've been doing for a while. They registered a bunch of trademarks before announcing Xillia and I don't think that was the first time they did that.

Well, TGS is coming up, so maybe the real title will become clear...
I'm all about Tales of Bibliotecha though.

You know I can't say its completely out of the realm of feasibility to just license tales. The point of copyright law is to protect consumers and what they think, and at least as far as Tales goes, any time I hear tales of something I think of the Tales series; just like I associate Mana with the Square Enix franchise.
They probably won't try, but I wouldn't be opposed to them being granted that TM strictly in a video game setting.

They could try to trademark it, but their proposal will be open to challenges in that it's too common a phrase even in games, so they'll likely lose.
