Another U.S. holiday, another ADV sale.
Most of you know the drill when it comes to these sales so there's no sense in repeating it. Make sure you read the sales policy before you order (if you choose to do so). The sale starts today (August 31) and ends on Tuesday, September 5. |

Is there something special about the sales policy? *searches for sales policy*

Besides the fact that the items are somd "as is". Meaning they may be open, bar code removed, not have a case at all... I've seen some complaints that not all discs were in a box set a couple of times. This is why I don't buy from ADV store. Although many may tell you that they haven't had any problems, with my luck I would get an F'd up order.

Great find Biliano, I've over three different items from ADV during these sales and have not occur any difficulties other then my items taking a while to reach me. But I understand that high traffic mean it will take longer, but ya can't argue with some of these prices. I purchase the Yugo set for $26 I am a happy camper with that. |

I'm on their mailing list and the only item I ever purchased was Mezzo V3. Normally I can't find anythin I want (and don't have). This time however I spotted lots of good stuff. I ended up picking up the Angelic Layer thinpack complete collection for $25. I've been debating for awhile on whether to get it but the price was right so I grabbed it.

I don't know about anyone else but there are some really good deals here, specially all the bundles. Hell you can get Chrono Crusade for $50 non thin-pack.....and 35 for thin-pack. The only thing that I was upset was that Gilgamesh vol 7 didn't drop in price all that much. So whenever the next ADV sales is I hope that I can pick that up for 10 or 12 dollars. Till next time, Delta Kiral |

Only thing I didn't like about this sale was the mandatory $9 shipping. Otherwise I made out pretty good, got Nurse Witch Komugi 1 and 2, Blue Seed Beyond ($5!), New Fist of the North Star Complete Collection and Super Milk Chan 2 for $48.00. Not too shabby.

Holy *bleeeeep*
Are you kidding me. Some of this stuff is so cheap I have trouble believing it is true. I mean some of this is almost half price of the TRSI bargin bin. (some of the stuff here is in the mail as we speak ). Joels comments scare me, but I may have to roll some dice here, even with the $9 shipping. Anyone else think this is a bad idea? edit Still scrolling and there are some really, really good deals here, I need to hear some more horror stories people. |

I know there are some good anime about holyiness......Chrono Crusade for one....
Shipping story from ADV halloween special last year.....I ordered the samurai X OVA box, I place my order a couple days before Halloween.....Sometime in early December (I think like the 5 or something) my DVDs finally show up....and that sale wasn't even as good as this one is. I am quite scared to see how long my precious Yugo (Bundle!!!!!) might take to get here. Till next time, Delta Kiral |

Sorry- can't give you any. Waaay back when these sales first started, I knw of some people getting hole-punch sized holes in their stuff, or drills that hit the discs and made them unplayable... but everything I've got has been new & sealed, with a scratch over the barcode so small it looked like it was made with a push pin. However, that $9 shipping is just for shipping- these guys charge sales tax too. I've found most deals from ADV I've wanted lately were killed by the added costs there... although this one looks decent for once in a long time Edit: and if that $32 Excel imperfect set isn't cheap enough for someone, I'll gladly buy the artbox |

The only horror story for me(if you can call it that) was during the Thanksgiving sale. I didn't recieve my order until early Jan. OTOH, during the Valentine sale, I placed an order fully prepared for it to take a month to arrive and to my shock, recieved it a mere 7 days later! Go figure.
I just ordered all the DVD's of Princess Tutu for about $85 along with vol 3 & 4 of Yugo for $6 each. I had to pay tax because I live in Texas. Just 45 min from ADV in fact. It's too bad you can't just go into their building and buy direct from them |

I've ordered a lot from ADV during thier sales. Most come with little holes in the bar codes but nothing terribly conspicious.
My main beef is that thier online order form is broken if you're trying to put in a Canadian postal code. I can't put the space in, and without the space, my credit card won't validate so I keep having to order by money order. OTOH it's nice that there's a place I can order by money order. I just bought the equivelant of 4 26 ep box sets for $112. (including the Excel collection ) so at $ 1.07 an episode I'm all set till Christmas. |
