My God! It's a miracle! FINALLY! About bloody time too even though most people get their SJ stuff from scanlations these days!

I swear Viz Europe and Shueisha/Shogakukan are run by fecktards considering it's taken this damn long for Shonen Jump Alpha to be available in these regions (as for their offline manga, I usually get mine from Worlds Apart in Liverpool due to their 3 for the price of 2 offer on all manga on sale there as well as the special offers that Viz has at London MCM Expo).

Viz was also polling in their recent issue survey if they should offer back issues of WSJ. So hopefully in the future back issues will be made available to these new regions to help get caught up.

I definitely won't be subscribing considering they'll probably expect us to pay the same price as North America for a subscription and we won't even get the Yu-Gi-Oh! card bonuses as well!

Well, since the US subscription is only $25 for a year (and even buying single issues is $1 for 200 pages a week...) and your British Pounds are worth more then US dollars right now.

I don't think you're getting over charged.

It's an incredible deal when you actually crunch the numbers and see how much it actually costs per chapter. And really, who cares about a yugioh card? I buy Weekly Shonen Jump to
1. SUpport the official release
2. Get far better quality translations than most of the scanlators provide, especially the quick and shitty ones like mangapanda and mangastream

I've been paying week to week since January myself. And its easily the best deal in comics right now. That being said, I will probably be getting subscription next week. When they print the '$20 For A Year Sub' codes in the next issue.

Cause that's just absurd.

Wait so it's only available on whatever the Apple newstand app is or android soon? I don't have either nor do I plan to get either. Isn't there going to be a web version or am I just misreading?

The only thing I can think of is that there might be some reason they can't use the vizmanga site in other countries, possibly because WSJ isn't the only online content there. I'm sure there will be some online reader for people outside NA eventually though, especially if it does well

I think the article just says the iOS app. Which, I guess is kind of limiting.

Since this is apparently avalible now, maybe checkout the shonenjump.viz.com/ homesite and try to buy the latest issue?

I CARE about the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (and so do quite a few of the hardcore players here in the UK as well) because they usually cost a arm and a leg over here from specialist dealers due to them being only available to WSJ subscribers in North America.

As for translations, I don't care whether a translation is a scanlated one (usually only for titles that aren't officially in English or never got completed in English) or an official one.

In any case, my decision still stands in that I still won't be subscribing to WSJ even if they make it available to Android users as knowing Viz, we'll probably have to wait another year or two before it's available for them!

If they like oxygen, they'll get it done in days.

Actually, make that seconds, my patience can be quantified by single digits and I'm about to get Villager all up on this Animal Crossing.

There are a lot of reasons why iOS apps get developed first. This isn't unique to VIZ.

They have fought me every step of the way and It's come to me canceling my Kazé pre-orders. If they don't want my money for WSJ (Like "soon" means anything these days) then they sure as fudge don't want it for Persona or Tiger & Bunny.

All I want is for commerce to happen. That's all I ever wanted.
