Ronny Yu is also the director of Bride with White Hair, which is a must-see.

I'm a little suprised by this. Given how Blood the Last Vampire looked (to say nothing of it's storytelling, which didn't really grab me), a live action movie almost feels redundant.

Another live action!! Shocked Dam, I just hope they don't butcher it. And I really hope that they do a good job with the live action EVA, I'll be soooo pissed if they screw it up Mad Oh well, only time will tell. Exclamation

Well, Freddy vs. Jason was #1 over the weekend, that probably makes Ronny Yu a bit more credible as a director and gives this film a better chance of taking place. But who's to say really. With so many big name directors that have done everything from Titanic to X-men pitching live action anime films, we may find ourselves waiting even longer, atleast until the first big one shows it can turn a profit, be it Dragonball Z or Evangelion or something else.

To be honest... I think they'd be able to do Blood as a live-action film much more cheaply than FOX's live-action DBZ movie or the live-action Evangelion movie (which I still doubt will ever be made and will continue to doubt until they announce which one of the "big 7" studios is interested, if any). For Blood, we'd be talking a mid-8 digit budget maximum, not 9 digits like those other two.
