We are planning to have:
Profiles (education, experience) Stats (shows, films, games, commercials, con appearances) Supporting Casts (w/ testimonials, eg. Steve Conte, Maaya Sakamoto) Interviews (next to impossible for Kanno, but we're trying!) Technical Breakdown (styles, keys, tempos, patterns, and such) Opinion Essays (long, detailed ones) Discount CDs (deal w/ online retailer) Do you have any other ideas? Please share! Okay, now we've got Steve Conte on board. Anybody else we should ask?

Origa?
Maaya? Did either Kanno or Yuri go for an interview? |

Ooh, good idea on Origa. I'll ask.
The others are unlikely, but you never know. |

Raj Ramayya is a friend of mine, and he sings for Kanno-sama (Ask DNA in Cowboy Bebop, Strangers from Wolf's Rain). I can give you his e-mail address if you'd like--I'm sure he'd be happy to answer some questions about Yoko Kanno! I know he's answered a lot of my friends and my questions about her...

Raj Ramayya's e-mail is [email protected].
I don't think he'll mind you contacting him at all. He's a really nice guy. |

So, did Origa say yay or nay?

Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Akino Arai worked with Yoko Kanno. Maybe you can ask her for her take on both parties and share her experiences working with her. Just a thought.

Yes, Akino Arai indeed worked with Ms. Kanno.
Also, what about Kanno's lyricist Mr. Tim Jensen and someone like Scott Matthew? Another thing... it's a very controversial issue, I know but... it would be very interesting if during the interviews you could touch on the subject of plagarism in Kanno's works. I'm a Kanno fan myself but this issue has been bothering me and as far as I know it has never been touched on during any of the interviews... |

Well I hate to chime in without any constructive input, but something like this would be great. Being a musician and composer myself I would love to see/read up on something like this. Great idea!
