Given the increasing incidence of spambot posts like this one:

Is there any chance that the forums could get one of those "Type in these characters" input boxes to prevent automated registrations?

I was just about to suggest the same thing. Not only here, but on all of my fav fora, these spambots have sprung like wild mushrooms after rain. User Confirmation would really help.
