I know just about everyone has had a song anoying or not stuck in their head.
For me I think I watched Whisper of the Heart a few too many times over the last 3 days...I have Country Roads stuck in my head. And it keeps jumping from the origional version to the Japanese to the other english version sung in the movie.
What are some songs that won't go away for anyone else?
Arrow It's been 6 months since I posted this and I finally have a new song stuck in my head. The ending theme to Naruto.

There are three songs that i always get stuck in my head and they are all from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Cruel Angels Thesis, Escape to the Beginning, and Turning Back Time. These songs just bring great thoughts to me and make me remember the whole story told in neon genesis. They hold great sentimental value and make me feel like crying when i listen/think about them.

I think "Lillium" from Elfen Lied is an example in my case--it's used so much in the series (and you notice it even more when you re-watch Elfen Lied) that it haunts your mind and keeps you humming it for awhile after. In fact, almost any time I hear bells or chimes in other anime, I keep expecting the "Lillium" theme to start up Laughing Others would be "Kimi ga sora datta" (Mai Hime ED) and "Hajimari no hi" (DN Angel 2nd ED)--if you know what they're saying, both of those songs have some sad and poignant lines that really capture the mood of the series. Maybe it's just because I play them so often in my iTunes rotation that they stay in my head.

hoho..as for me,I have Fruits Basket's opening song stuck in my head.I think that's because I just finished watching the anime. The song kind of emitted the sad feeling as it is always played in the anime when the sad moments came..The other may be "emotion" from Gundam Seed Destiny.Come to think of it,the song also, kind of sad because of Meer's death. There's lots of song in my mind..!!Wargghh sometimes I'm afraid that I'll get bored of the song..as they keep playing in my mind..uuhh..but that does not matter..there lots of another good japanese song on Earth..hoho

I just recently got the first DVD of FMA from my library...so now I have the first opening theme stuck in my head. Anime hyper "Melissa" by Porno Graffiti.

I just wish I could remember more of the lyrics.

The ending theme of Outlaw star. As girly as it sounds I'll hum it all the time.

I have quite a few that are hard to shake from my head: Energizer, Hardcore Symphoney, Robotix, Beyond the Earth, Ghost Revival, Lab, Night of Fire (New Generation), Boom Boom Fire, Setsugekka, Starmine. Usually the only way I can get rid of them is by something like food, sleep, or another one of them.

Ah, "Hiro no Tsuki" by the illustrious Akino Arai. That particular tune lead to an almost unnatural obsession with her music for me. She's still one of my very favorite singer/songwriters.

It's interesting that Space_cowboy64 mentioned the cello version of "Voices" in Macross Plus,as Akino Arai performed the vocal version of that song as well. Wink

Both of those songs are very beautiful. Just participating in this discussion has already gotten me thinking of another Arai/Kanno collaberation: the haunting "Time of Gold Flowing" from Please Save My Earth OST 3. That will no doubt be looping in my head non-stop for the next several hours.

You have an amazing taste in music, my friend. AKFG is my favorite Japanese band out of all that I've heard.

And yes, the song Rewrite is from FMA. It is the fourth opening in the series.

If you like that song, there are others by AKFG which I find just as good.

Kona Yuki
Haruka Kanata - one of the best
Kimi To Iu Hana
Blue Train
Siren

Those are all good songs by AKFG. I hope you like them.

I just started Bleach, and the first two opening songs are songs that I really can't get outta my head. I even have them stuck in my head while I'm asleep. They are:

"Asterisk" by Orange Range

and

"D-Technolife" by UVERworld

Those songs are so catchy, that I can't go anywhere without hearing the lyrics in my head!
