I wonder if the little girls who go to these movies feel uncomfortable seeing all the 25+ year old guys who are also there.

These images--while official--are still preliminary.
The final versions--including the Precures from Doki Doki! Precure--probably won't appear until late January 2013.

That's strange. It would now be a unique thing to have normal hair coloring for newer stars.

I sure would feel uncomfortable.
and I freaking HATED New Stage. The Cures from FwPC-YPC5 HAD NO LINES! You could just make a movie of all of them transforming and doing their finishing attacks and that would fill up the 70 minutes, what with all the girls now.

Not to mention different art/style.
The 'preliminary merchandise designs' for Smile Precure we saw looked like garbage compared to how they look in the anime.

That's pretty much how the Kamen Rider crossover movies work. Only the more recent ones get actual lines/out-of-suit actor time. It's mostly to push and focus on the newer iterations of the franchise, the ones kids most likely know of more as opposed to ones 10 years ago.

I think it'd be kinda cute to see a bunch of serious grown-up guys getting just as worked up waving their Miracle Lights and cheering for the Precure as the little five-year-old girls! What would be really awkward would be if you were the ONLY 25+ year old dude in the theater.

Hmm... based on the images of dokidoki, it seems to be Heartcatch/Suite format. I was thinking Toei would try something different, like maybe only one precure and we'd get a more CCS type of show...

try watching a precure movie on Japanese theaters,you can see a lot of them,even 30+year old dudes
