Wow color me surprised about Beelzebub at 26! I thought that manga was doing excellent, especially with it on most mangas sites as #1. I always thought this was a contender to being one of the next top 3 after One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach but I guess not.

I'm glad Gintama was almost in the 10's since I like that a lot, and I'm still not surprised about One Piece. Still I hope Oda takes some inspiration from Gintama and make his arcs in his manga shorter so they don't make people like me feel overwhelmed.

One last thing I'm still sad to see Reborn is going to be gone in a little while. I forgot the # it was at but it still was good.

Glad to see Chihayafuru in 16th. Probably the manga will get another buff in sales when the second season airs in January.

Space Brothers (and Magi very recently) seemed to be pretty well received by people, probably should give that one a look though, would be nice if the manga was localised as well. >_>

I think the likelihood of KuroBas getting another season must be astronomically high now. Cool

Nice job for Kimi ni Todoke, a shoujo title surrounded by shounen titles.

I'm not a fan of Kuroko's Basketball, but I'm glad to see the threats aren't negatively affecting its sales. That whole event is making me want to go out of my way to watch or read it just to spite whoever's doing it.

Uchuu Kyoudai @ 4!!!!! GREAT

For me the NUMBER 1 anime of 2012!!!

Words cannot describe how awesome uchuu kyoudai is but just imagine it if you see this kind of series that is not shounen, not shoujo, not fanservice, not moe and see the the manga and anime BOTH are doing awesome!

I'm personally glad Beel is on there at all, after that abomination of an anime its lucky at all it can keep going on its own merits

Nah.
The only reason it didn't do well this year was it didn't even release 5 volumes this year cause Kubo took too many breaks. It's volumes still sell more than Kuroko's Basketball. It's just the number of volumes that released this year that put it out of the top 10. I even knew it wouldn't make it.
If you add another 600k, since that's how much all its volume usually get minimum and it would have ranked 7th which would be a higher ranking than last year.
The last arc is going well. In fact, Bleach's ToC ranking has been really high for weeks as compared to how it was in the fullbring arc.

I'm just glad to see Toriko's hype is going down.

Exactly. While Bleach is not selling a million per volume, only four volumes were released this year (and the fourth one hasn't been released yet, it's coming out this week), so of course the sales would be less against series that release 6 volumes per year.

Also agree on Toriko. Never even had the stomach to even try reading/watching it, the art is just awful

Ouch, 29% fall in sales for Bleach. Granted, it only released four volumes in 2011 and 2012. But still, it just keeps falling:

2008 - 3,161,825 (VOL. 32-36)
2009 - 6,471,021 (VOL. 37-42)
2010 - 5,204,193 (VOL. 43-48)
2011 - 4,187,258 (VOL. 49-52)
2012 - 2,974,750 (VOL. 53-56)

Well the fullbring arc was low in its sales. But the new arc seems to be improving. As I said, its ToC rankings are going up. Slowly but surely the sales will also go up.
