Does this mean that there is a good chance that it will be on Direct TV one day? Since the company is part of Starz

Last time I called Shaw to ask about Anime Network on VoD, I was told that I would not be able to access it because I have a HD PVR cable box, and people with this box were denied the service because we could record the anime and then burn it to DVD somehow.

I'm hoping this is no longer the case and that I can get the monthly subscription with the HD-PVR. I'm going to try calling Shaw tonight about this, and if not I will call tomorrow.

I had also looked into this about a month ago and was told by Shaw that because of a compatability issue with all motorola HD boxes (not just PVR versions) I would not be able to access any VOD material. They indicated that a fix was coming but no time line was given.

I've also got shaw and I've had and been using the anime network VOD subscription and been since last June. So it's nothing new to me.

I'd rather have the regular linear channel if I had the choice...

I searched for the channel in the listings last night but didn't find it.

I can't access any VoD since I have the PVR, which I think is stupid because I am paying for it.

Linear channel is not going to happen in Canada. No way the CRTC would ever allow it. ADV would be smarter to get their shows on YTV.

Same here with DirecTV. It's been a couple of years since they said they trying to the network, and still are saying they are trying. If we get it, super. If we don't ever get, well, why miss something I never had.
