Good god, OP just continues to break its own records. This is just staggering. Every new volume is a record in some way.

Sort of regret the day that every new volume of One Piece doesn't continue to set a different sort of record. I bet Shueisha adores the series, and is legit worried for when it'll end more so then when Bleach or Naruto does.

Naturally.
Bleach is in it's final Arc, and Naruto is nearing it's ending (so I read, and hope), but I don't see One Piece ending just yet. There're still so much adventures to be had.

I always like hearing about my favorite manga selling a lot of copies in Japan. If only I can hear about it selling that much in America... Or at least Gintama manga being sold in America again. Once again...

Are they any closer to finding Gold D. Roger's treasure? Seems like they've kind of just been dicking around.

Lol i agree, One Piece is just $$. I see Bleach ending first though, this Final War arc has been better, and more ballsy than anything in Bleach. Though I'm still not sold that certain people have died, though it would make Kubo just the man to kill off some main characters. Either way i don't see the Bleach war dragging as long as the Naruto war. The reason i stopped reading Naruto is because how long it's been dragging out. Then it was reported another 1 1/2 of Naruto? ah much to long. Everyone knows Sasuke and Naruto are going to end up taking down Madara in the end, and having that little happy gay yay moment. The lopsided nature of the protagonists vs. the antagonists in Naruto is basically on the level of 5 year olds lol. Now One Piece goes on easilyyyyyy for another 6 years. You know there is going to be an encounter with Vega Punk, Big Mom, and another tie in side story like the Marineford arc (i say Shanks and Kaido fight it out, and the winner fights Blackbeard). The ending of One Piece will be Luffy vs. Blackbeard in one balls out fight, but to get to that point A LOT has to happen. One Piece is golden until 2018. There is just SO MUCH left to cover. I wish people in the USA would stop reading sailor moon, black butler, and pervy/romance manga. Also Gintama is just way to amazing, for the zero press it gets.

You do realize that Kuroshitsuji, Sailor Moon and any Romance manga are aimed at a completely different audience than One Piece and Gintama, right? If OP and Gintama are not successful enough in the US, it's because Shonen fans aren't buy it, don't put the blame on Kuroshitsuji -which by the way, is a gorgeous and amazing manga, nothing to do with the godawful anime adaptation

I wonder if japanese people read one piece everywhere. I mean, with 270 million book, it won't be strange if there are 1 or 2 people read one piece in public transportations everyday, right?

One Piece seems to be doing well in America. I know Gintama got cancelled but One Piece volumes seem to go to two or three extra printings.

Kinda feels like they upped the print run a tiny bit just to say that it's a record setting number.
