Nice to see bad 90s rock and repeating the show's name over and over is still the standard for English theme songs...
Because Hasbro took a page out of 4Kids book and decided to make their own spin-off mini series to promote their own homegrown version of the toys like 4kids did with "Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters" . Just imagine.. we could be watching Zero-G instead. Speaking of which. This sum of my reaction perfectly. Last edited by TitanXL on Wed Aug 01, 2012 6:32 pm; edited 1 time in total |

That isn't the opening theme song for BeyWheelz, this is. There's a French promo/trailer thing floating around that shows some promising animation quality. |

Are we not getting Zero-G, or am I missing something? With later 4D and Zero-G episodes being a quarter hour, mayber this'll be the other half of a half hour. |

I assume the US will, but production time and effort put on this could have been spent dubbing the show so it isn't two years behind Japan. |

When o when will marketing groups realize that using "z" instead of "s" for plurals looks completely stupid and obnoxiously idiotic.

I'm glad that when we got DBZ here in the States we never got an US-original spinoff called something like "Dragon Orb Z". Granted, that was probably because Japan already made DBGT.
How many other US-original spinoff shows have there been? I know about Capsule Monsters with Yu-Gi-Oh and those thirteen episodes of Kinnikuman Nisei that 4kids funded. Have there been other things like that? |

As silly as that commercial is, I kind o wish these had been around when I was a kid, It would be like having a toy of Kirby's Wheel/Tire mode.
Can't say I'll actually watch the show though, may buy one of the little wheels just for the heck of it whenever their out in stores. |

Marketers are still stuck in the 90s.
4Kids was also behind the "Pyramid of Light" movie. They really wanted to milk the original cast for all it's worth and were probably scared it was one of those 'cast changes every series' shows because they figured American kids wouldn't want to watch the adventures of new people like Japan is used to (see also why the original cast of "Power Rangers" stuck around for so long) Other than that, I suppose you could say the new Kaijudo American cartoon on The Hub. Rather than dub the 300+ existing Duel Masters episodes, they just made some American cartoon. Which seems like a stupid move considered Duel Masters is the 2nd biggest OCG behind Yu-Gi-Oh, and the new "Kaijudo" card game is just some unholy mash up of old Duel Masters card artwork with new names/effects/weirdity, which means it's incompatible with Duel Masters. I'm no marketer, but when you snub the 2nd biggest TCG out there, that seems kind of dumb. Imagine if 4Kids/Konami threw away the YGO card game and made their own version that was only legal to play in Americna tournaments. No world-wide-play at all. Can't see Kaijudo lasting any longer than Chaotic did for 4Kids. But given what the last dubbing team for Duel Masters complained about, I imagine making their own show was easier. Other than that? "Voltron Force" and "Speed Racer: The Next Generation" aired on Nicktoons. Those old 80s dubbed anime seem to get a lot of American reboots/remakes for some reason. |

Kaijudo is a much better show than any of the Duel Masters anime so I'm not sure why anyone would complain about it existing.
