Wonder how many more of these arrests it's going to take before the Japanese pirates stop uploading manga and anime.

May not be as ironic as pirating Pirates (One Piece) but getting arrested for uploading Case Closed still has some level of Irony to it. Conan, you caught another one. Cool Laughing

It's going to be the 2009 Tenchi spinoff. It was leaked about week or so ago (FUNi's online section for the show popped up on their website before it was quickly taken down).

While I would love to see FUNi get more of Case Closed, I'm perfectly contempt with the 130 episodes, and 6 movies they have now.

I'd like to check that release out, assuming it's BluRay. It's a hard sell if when you try to go on the Tenchi name, there's about as much of the previous series involved as you get in El Hazard.

Though the character design of the main character looks a lot like Tenchi. I'm guessing the series will turn out like GXP, though I don't think any of the main characters even have CAMEOS in this:

They also renamed the series to reflect the Tenchi title (the Japanese title is "Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari").

It's way too early for that hun. The series has barely begun production in Japan.

I know they use "Tenchi Muyo" for marketing reasons in America, but it's pretty false advertising. It doesn't use that title in Japan.

Eh, well, it's not much worse than Tenchi Muyo GXP, which only had cameos from the Tenchi gang (from what I've heard. I've yet to watch it as of now). I forget what the connection this series is supposed to have to Tenchi.

I mentioned El Hazard because it too shares designs with Tenchi, so do Agga Ruter and Photon and they may as well all take place in the Tenchiverse, but Iseikai has very little to do with the previous Tenchi titles. So yeah, using the Tenchi Muyo as an attention grabber is kind of dishonest, even if this is the same canon. As I said in one of those Retail threads, War on Geminar is kind of wrong too, unless you count school and harem antics as war.
