No, see, they're just going to patch together the various existing movies, touch up the art here and there, add some plagarist's music, replace that music with four different tracks from Shunsuke Kikuchi, but then quit it before it's done.

Bitter about Kai? Nah.

(I'm actually pretty interested.)
So Penguintruth are you an actuall DragonBall fan?I haven't figured it out yet. Do to your incredible negativity to the franchise?

Only true fans are this negative.

Oh, c'mon. After the debacle of Dragon Ball Kai (seriously, has any franchise had its entire musical score ripped out two episodes before it prematurely ends after a very embarrassing public statement had to be made about the situation?), how can you not snark a little bit about any upcoming Dragon Ball material...?

I love the franchise and how fun it is -- if you can't have fun with it alongside it in 2012... then... well, you're missing the point a little bit Smile.

And the 80's/90's Revivials continue, and I for one could not be happier, some people may get their panties in a wad, but i'd rather see classics from the cable boom era brought back & revitalized then 1000 generic ecchi & moe shows. Laughing (Or on the U.S. side more bad Tweencoms and what not)

But yeah, revive away I say, revive away!

But getting more serious, I do hope these films will get decent animation & pacing. Also 10 bucks says Funi snatches the 1st one up before it even hits theaters in Japan, lol.

Wow, is Toei actually listening to the fans who want old shows like Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball back?

It's like the return of the mainstream anime reboots. Laughing

From what the image in calimike's post looks like, is it just a film adaptation of DBZ and not DB? Also its probably animated? Surprised The article itself is so vague and has little info, its kinda hard to tell.

The manga never changed names throughout its run - that was just the anime. It's almost certainly late "Z" era they're adapting, though.
