I was just wondering have both of these shows been cancelled by cartoon network? These were two of my favorite shows and I don't see why they got cancelled, I thought they had a pretty big fan base. Especially Megas XLR.
Any word is appreciated, Thanks in advanced.

That's sad. I didn't see anything wrong with it but I think some people just didn't like it. Megas XLR was pretty funny. It was a spoof of giant robots and other stuff. I remember they made fun of sailor moon in one of their episodes.

I am a Megas XLR fan as well.
I don't think Megas XLR got cancelled, because I remember seeing it on Saturday, only it was played at an ongodly hour. They started over with the first episode.
Maybe Megas XLR was just on hiatus for a little while. I just wish they would release Megas XLR on DVDs.

Didn't Samurai Jack win several awards within this past year? I think that Genndy Tartakovsky (writer, director, and creator) stopped producing both Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Laboratory (he also had a hand in the Power Puff Girls series) in favor of doing the Star Wars:Clone Wars cartoons. I never got any impression that any shows he was involved with were canceled, just put on hold till he had more time to devote to them.

That's what I thought. He has his hand in soooooo many projects I believe he decided to give "The Samurai" a much-needed rest. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him next year on TOONAMI.

It's the government. The American government hates anything anime. Thats why anything that looks like anime on the government controlled cartoon network never lasts long. Except of course the select few.

If this is true,it should be worth staying up late or at least taping or TiVOing.

It's beyond childish. Do you really think that with the world in the shape it's in today, both locally and abroad, that the "Big Bad Government" really has picking on anime fans at the top of their To-Do list? Do you really think the Feds, the Fuzz, the Man, Big freakin' Brother is out to get you through the cartoons you watch? That is ridiculous, end of story.
As for anime on Cartoon Network never lasting long, I think the likes of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Tenchi Muyo!, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, Gundam Wing, 08th MS Team, Gundam 0080, Gundam 0083, Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam SEED, G Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, FLCL, One Piece, Gash Bell, Sailor Moon, Blue Gender, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inu-Yasha, Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex, The Big O, Outlaw Star, Paranoia Agent, s-CRY-ed, Samurai Champloo, Witch Hunter Robin, Pilot Candidate, Yuu Yuu Hakusho, .hack//SIGN, .hack//LEGEND, Rurouni Kenshin, Detective Conan, Cyborg 009, Duel Masters, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kikaider, Kikaider 01, Reign, Super Milk-chan, Speed Racer, G-Force, Robotech, D.I.C.E., Zoids, Zoids: Chaotic Century, Zoids Fuzors, and any other of the dozens of anime that've run on Cartoon Network for several months at a time would have something to say about that.
