Wow, that is scary. I like how the Sabrina Character designs look, but the Josie artwork is awful. It looks like really bad fanart.

That looks like ass. Why can't American companies get it?

Talk about destroying a series that was already decent to begin with. Archie Comics had really lost it.

I can remember that in the old Jossie and the Pussycats cartoon the girls were hot. Even the stupid live action movie features some hot girls (Rachel Leigh Cook is so cute). But this... "manga"... whatever it is looks awfull... they look like a bunch of drag queens from the 70´s...

The new Sabrina designs look pretty good. I've always liked the live action tv sereis and cartoon but only read a few of the comics. The Josie cover looks bad I feel then again its just a cover and covers arent' usually the best thing to go by when it comes to the inside of a comic, at least from what I've seen.
I hope the actual panel designs are better. I want to see what the different Archie series will look like with revamped designs though.

This whole manga design for the sake of manga design simply does not work. It's one thing to get a fan like Adam Warren use the design in properties that could benefit from it, it's another to slap it on 40 year old properties.

Forget the cover art. Every time I see that cheap Chinese restaurant pseudo font, I feel like my head is going to explode.

*Makes plans to kidnap Jughead.* What this about turning them in to manga? Melody really scares me. She got that whole "Mihoshi" look in her eyes, well, more then ever now.

I hate it when American comics and cartoons use the manga or anime art style to try to sell.
I wouldn't really mind, if the art didn't really suck (like that Josie and the Pussycats thing) or if the story didn't suck (Totally Spies, Teen Titans, that new Avatar show).
Another thing that bugs me, is that my sister will watch pseudo anime all day and Inuyasha (which is a pretty lousy show in my opinion), and will read a few rather meh manga series, but then upon seeing or reading something really good for a minute or even looking at it she'll be like that's boring. She wouldn't watch Cowboy Bebop because of the smoking for Christ's sakes.
With little going for them, I think my sister simply likes the artwork in these series or something, because almost no other girls her age watch these series with the exception of Inuyasha fans (she's 14), and the plots are utterly horrible. I think the fake anime style does sell, although I think a show or comics quality should be judged by how good the story is, not the art style.

O_o! That's sad... Bebop's great.
But yeah... aside from Teen Titans, I've never liked it when Americans tried to use japanese-style art.
