Yeah, I thought this had to do with Madoka Magica... in the few seconds that it took for the page to load, I was ready to get on the news team's case that Madoka herself is 14, not 16.
 It's funny that the train line's mascot was already a girl named Madoka... did she always have pink hair as well? If so, then that's a funny thing, a coincidental similarity that's surely now banking on the popularity of Madoka Magica...

I thought for a second after seeing the poster that it was gonna be about the new Gen Urobuchi show on Madoka sequel because the poster says in japanese "it has being 6 years since then" but I guess that is not the case.

I thought it was PMMM too... seeing what it really is, all I can think of is 'she looks like a mascot for my local anime con'. It's kinda weird.

This train line must be a really remote branch line to have to resort to this kind of promotion. It's enough to cause teeth cavites just looking at it. At least they had the smarts to draw her wearing cycle shorts under that mico skirt.
