Ooh! I liked Galileo Galilei's songs for Oofuri and AnoHana. AoEx is on in 15. Will check out the preview for AGE. Still a bit on the fence about the series as a whole but I'll reserve final judgment for when I see a few eps.

Unfortunately while I typically am up for Gundam shows this one looks to be of little interest to me just based on the character designs. I'm just not expecting to see much out of this, though if I see several good reviews for it I may change my mind about at least seeing the first episode.

No. Their music isn't hotblooded enough. I can understand the ending theme but the opening theme? The theme that supposed to set the mood of the show? No thank you.

That and the series had an awesome idea of Minami Kuribayashi and JAM Project again. Remind anyone of anything?

For the people complaining about the character designs, you people should've heard the uproar for the Victory designs. And look at that! That's is one of the most grimdark Gundam series to date!

Even Victory Gundam didn't have a overly kiddy character designs and cheerful animation font. Hell, Uso looked more of a grown up than the new lead.

But, it's not really the designs that bothers me the most. I'm more intrigued by "Unknown Ennemy". It feels like another alien hunt. If that is the case, the "grey" zone between Good and Evil could probably be either partially, temporarely or completely removed. I can only imagine: "Humanity stick together to survive." - Gundam 00 The Movie aka one of the worst things (story-wise) I've seen in the Gundam franchise...even more than the SD Gundam series and Gundam Seed Destiny. Hahahaha. I do hope my assumptions are wrong though.

Just so this thread isn't all bitching (I mean seriously people, the topic is about the theme song and yet you still feel the need to continue to bitch constantly about the character designs, the deadest of dead horses by this point. If this is all people are going to do in response to all news topics about this show then this is going to make for a long dumb as hell, and not to mention repetitive season of discussions about Gundam....though it wouldn't surprise me if that's actually how a lot of people want it) I will offer that I am pleased with the decision to have Galileo Galilei as the theme song artist. From what I've heard of him in shows like Ano Hana and just in general his style of music is refreshing and much to my liking. I'm sure he'll deliver an appropriate Gundam Ballad.

There you go, third on topic post, let's try and not have it be the last. I believe in you people. Very Happy

You do realise that the character designs are like that because Gundam AGE is being aimed at the same kiddy market as shows like Beyblade and Bakugan dont you? the show may eventually get abit darker as it goes along but at least to begin with i'd expect it to be pretty similar in tone to the above mentioned shows early episodes.

Not sure about the choice for opening song but im sure it'll work in context once we get to see the op along side the first episode or 2 of the show.

This is off topic, but does anyone know if this will get a simulcast on here or crunchyroll?

There's a great article on the Manga UK blog where Galileo Galilei talk about their favourite anime! http://www.mangauk.com/?p=galileo-figaro
