He also plays a mean game of Mahjong if you see in any truth in fiction in Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku. Now there's a better thing to check, did he read Mudazumo

First off, the article is listed as Interest, not News.
Second, for some western anime fans, the nickname "Rozen Aso" has pretty much defined this guy; it's a relatively popular piece of trivia. More clarification on the nickname is useful.

Poor Taro Asō. Not only did he have the bad luck to be driving when the LDP lost its plurality in the Diet for the first, and only, time since 1955, he's eternally tied to Rozen Maiden too! Maybe he should have given some of the series that he does read, although with any luck he would've ended up as Qwaser Asō.
I always feel bad for Japanese Prime Ministers after Junichirō Koizumi since they've all been more or less stuck with one-year terms.

Reminds me of when, in the early 1960's, president John F. Kennedy released a list of his favorite books which happened to include Ian Fleming's From Russia With Love. Some people were surprised to find what was percieved as a "pulp" novel on the list.
Of course, sales skyrocketed and it was a big factor in the choice of which book to choose to film as the followup to Dr. No.

Isn't Taro the one with the gun who shoots whoever it was Kim Jong had hired to assasinate Koizumi?
He certainly is no match for the Rising Sun of Koizumi at least.

YHe probably assumed that the "Mundanes" would think that, and he could slip in amongst them.
