Not really. Kinnikuman Nisei was a flop in Japan, never coming close to the popularity of the original. Had 4Kids stuck to the script it probably wouldn't have been nearly as fun as it was over here.

The truth is,with all the brouhaha about "unedited" versions of Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King,it seemed to me that those who whined aboved the 4kids versions of those shows did the same towards UM.
Frankly,I don't know why anybody would bother to release the unedited versions of those shows.I mean,if you've seen the series,you either liked it or you didn't,and no amount of "restored" footage or whatever will change that. |

Why don't you guys try reading the manga, it's a lot better than the anime. That's if you like parody and wack-out comedy. The anime suck ass, but the manga is very good.
