This is good news, though it would be nice to see her pick back up the main story and finally finish it. I don't hold out much hope after a 9 year hiatus though.

Also, I somehow missed the news last year of volume 12.

Whoa, what? That's pretty neat... I was kinda thinkin' it was done. I will definitely pick it up when it gets over here! Of course, it's been so long I will have to re-read the series! Sheesh!

OMFG are you serious?!

Man..I hope this means that the series will continue. It was such a shame to have left it alone for so long. I absolutely love this series.

Holy sh**.

Okay, it's not picking the original series back up, but still...

This is one of those series where I preferred the anime to the manga, but the manga was still enjoyable and at least continued the series where the anime left off. I also loved the characters that never showed in the anime (or got very little screen time) - Saya, Yuma, Kannuki, and Terazuma to name a few.

This is so exciting! Anime smallmouth Even if it isn't the main story, anything is better than nothing. Maybe once she gets back into the manga drawing groove she'll go back to the main story. It left off at such an exciting part...

...where are people getting that this isn't a continuation of the main story? I keep re-reading the article looking for that info and not finding it. There's a mention of a DIFFERENT manga in the last paragraph.

I liked the anime, but never got into the manga partly because I didn't feel like there really needed to be any more to the story but also because I knew there was an indefinite hiatus on it...

The manga ended off in the middle of Gensokai-hen and Kamakura-hen. Since it says "Special Edition" and isn't a one of the two arcs that were running, it tells us that it's not a continuation.


BTW, the anime corresponds to the second half of volumes 1 and 2, volume 3, and volumes 7 and 8, if you're ever interested in looking up what you missed.
