As far back as I remember it's God Knows from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, but that's pretty recent. Well, I really tried to memorize that one, but for the anime songs I heard before that, I always forgot at least one line or two.

Ermmm...the Sailor Moon themesong. As done by DiC.
 Sailor Moon was the first anime I ever watched, and I loved it when I was a little girl (think 6 or 7). Also, it's just so catchy!

all the pokemon theme songs till the first hoenn one, after that it was one piece op 11 share the world, I've memorized most on the early naruto, later gintama openings and ends, some bleach and almost all the one piece openings

Well, theme songs in english I memorized pretty quickly. I'm the type that never skips the opening and closing songs unless they suck, so they catch on pretty quickly. Also, I'm pretty sure everyone knows the first Pokemon theme song pretty well
 "I wanna be the very best...".
But the FIRST theme song I ever memorized, NOT in english is the opening for Kyou Kara Maou http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5oqRsZ0eXI&feature=related I really love that opening. Memorizing it was a happy accident though, since they use the same theme song for the entire series (over 70 episodes!!). |

The US version of Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs. I usually skip past intro songs so I don't have an opportunity to learn them. Even for the ones I like, I can memorize the delivery and melody of the singer but lyrically I only remember a catchy line that's sung with emphasis here and there.

For me the first song has to be Sailor Moon, it was such a big hit watching in the afternoons, the opening song made me jump up and mimic the actions of the Sailor scouts singing at the top of my lungs (off keyed mind you) at the time I knew all the words of the song to sing along.

Pokemon Opening Theme, Indigo League. Many here seem to be of that genre.
Just to go further.. The next anime I saw was Outlaw Star's Through The Night. I can't speak Japanese, BUT I can mumble it pretty well, right on pitch, never miss a cue. I know I'm not alone in that regard... And then it was DBZ's Rock the Dragon, not much to learn there though. Then my memory starts to fade as to the order I learned them. |

How can I forget The Real Folk Blues......that was a great song, but i think that doesn't count as a theme song.
Well, then uhhh I say the Dragon Ball Z theme song where thats all they say lol |
