Azumanga Daioh (TV) |
Excellent |
This show turned out to be exactly how I pictured it to be. Awesome. Well, almost. To be honest I expected a tiny bit of romance. I was surprised when I found out there was none. However, the show was so cute overall that I couldn't help loving it. |
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan (TV) |
Good |
I'm not a very big fan of gore... Though the randomness of this series made it worth it. "Yeah let's turn the class rep's head into a copy/pasted monkey head". Also the fact that it was only 8 episodes long (Technically 4, but they were all the size of 2 regular anime episodes). |
Golden Boy (OAV) |
Very good |
Even though it was dubbed, it was still great. I haven't seen the subbed version so I can't really compare. Content-wise... It was entertaining. A LOT of fanservice, but the humour and awkward moments make up for it. |
Initial D (TV) |

How I regret putting this off for so long. I could watch this series over and over and over. Probably one of my all time favourite series to date, if not my favourite. The art style changed a lot between the seasons, which I at one point thought was sort of a bad thing, but it turned out to be a good thing. |
Jubei-Chan The Ninja Girl - Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch (TV) |
Very good |
Average/Good series. Made me laugh a whole lot of times. It had some REALLY weird scenes though. |
Love Hina (TV) |
Good |
My very first anime experience. To me, it's a typical "Stash one guy into a dorm with a double-digit amount of girls and make random stuff happen for 25 episodes". Back then I didn't have anything to compare it to so I thought it was nice. Even now I don't think the series is bad though. I think it was a nice introduction to anime. |
Love Hina Again (OAV) |
Good |
Same as the series, really. Except it added a worthy ending to it. |
Mahoraba ~Heartful days~ (TV) |
Good |
During my 2 months at work of having nothing to do, I decided to find a random series to watch, so I picked this. Being a drama/comedy/romance series, it was sort of predictable. In fact, I had seen the entire setup before. What it reminded me the most of was Love Hina. Then again, I guess most harem series sort of remind you of eachother. The ending was pretty awesome, as it sort of made sense of everything that had been happening throughout the series. |
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (TV) |
Good |
I expected a lot, considering the only Gundam series I had already watched was Gundam Wing. This series did not really turn out to be as awesome as Wing, but it was decent. Any series that keeps me hooked for 52 episodes is at least decent. There's nothing special to be said about it other than "lol gundam". |
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (TV) |
Excellent |
My first -favourite- series. I had a Gundam Wing fandom for soooo long. I still think it's a superb series. Best Gundam series ever imo. Strangely enough, I don't like the sub at all. The english voice actors seem to be way more fit for this series than the japanese ones. |
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (OAV) |
Very good |
A nice touch to the Gundam Wing series. I wasn't dissapointed. Although I had sort of a hard time trying to see how this would happen naturally after the events of Gundam Wing, but I tried to not think too much of it. |
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) |
Good |
Well, uhh... Where to begin? This series really screwed with my mind, which is aso part of the reason that I wanted to continue watching it. It started off in a normal manner and just became more and more fucked up towards the end. It was an ... interesting experience. |
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie) |
Decent |
Let's top off a mindfucking series with an even more of a mindfuck ending. ^_^ |
Oh My Goddess! (OAV) |
Weak |
I can't really believe I finished this. Other than being full of fanservice, most of its content was "Belldandy! Keiichi!". It didn't really appeal at all. |
Rozen Maiden (TV) |
Excellent |
Somewhat of a turnpoint for me and anime. Despite the fact that it was sort of predictable, I enjoyed it a lot. Lots of charming characters and whatnot. |
School Rumble (TV) |
Masterpiece |
At first, I figured this was a pure comedy show. But when it turned out to be a comedy+romance show, I just had to love it. Awesome series. |
School Rumble: 2nd Semester (TV) |
Masterpiece |
Compared to the first season, this one was a little weird. Possibly because it wasn't as much -school- and more random events that played around with romance and drama. However, there was still a lot of comedy intact and the series continued to keep me hooked. Someone's going to die if a third season isn't released! |
Tokyo Underground (TV) |
Good |
Ok, this was pretty much just a "Let's find a random anime series and watch it because I have a lot of spare time right now". To me, it appeared as a typical short shounen-type series, where a hero is granted special powers and has to save the girl he loves from evil people. It was entertaining, thus why I kept watching through ~26 episodes. |
