| Inuyasha (TV) | Not really good | For a while, I was a fan of this show, and out of a lot of long-running shows of its type, it's not the worst, but it's really sort of a chore to watch at times. The main storyline becomes padded by ridiculous repetition and the side stories become less interesting. It's hard to fathom what the author of the manga was thinking. And the TV series doesn't even have a real ending, because it ended before the manga did. It's got a story that wastes its potential. |

| (The) Legend of the Galactic Heroes (OAV) | Masterpiece | A grand masterpiece of Japanese animation. It's an impressive blend of politics, philosophy, and tactics examination, set to classical music. The cast is a who's who of voice talent. The space battles can be a bit dull, but any dullness is offset by the charismatic characters that take part in them. Truly an epic space opera. Not to be missed. |

| Legend of the Galactic Heroes: My Conquest is the Sea of Stars (movie) | Very good | LoGH is an epic space drama, and this movie is a decent introduction to it. Once you get past the "talking head" syndrome, you will find yourself deeply engaged in the politics and philosophy of war and government. Strong voice performances accompany a well-balanced cast and story. Mandatory for anyone looking to start Legend of the Galactic Heroes. |

| Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers (TV) | Decent (dub & sub) | Not a "classic", but it was the first Japanese animated television show I was a fan of, back as a kid. There's a strong emphasis on sound effects in this show, I've noticed. Great effort was put into that aspect of the program, especially during the movement of the armors. Nostalgia dictates I watch the boxset every year, but I now watch the Yoroiden Samurai Troopers sides of the discs. |
