| Azumanga Daioh (TV) | Masterpiece | Admittedly "Masterpiece" may be a bit of a stretch, but this is one of the funneist anime out there. It's genius comes through in that they don't go off into the completely farsical (like Pani Poni Dash, which is similar) except when showiung what goes on inside Osaka's head. (That's a scary place!) And they don't rely on cheap ecchi jokes either, as so many anime do. (Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against ecchi, but it's impressive to find something so funny that doesn't have so much as a hint of it in there.) |
| Death Note (TV) | Masterpiece | At some point I will write more, but suffice to say that this is the best anime I have ever seen. It has made me reconsider every other "Masterpiece" rating I've given, becasue only after seeing this do I know what "True Masterpiece" really is. |
