On Monday November 9, Manga Entertainment will release the 13-part series Danganronpa The Animation on both Blu-ray and DVD. The anime adapts Spike Chunsoft's PlayStation Portable action-adventure game. Persona 4 The Animation's Seiji Kishi directed the series, which featured the same cast as the game.
The story follows a group of high school students, each with a different exceptional talent, who are locked inside a school and told that the only way to escape is to kill another student without getting caught. After a murder, the remaining students must hold a trial with their lives on the line to find out who the killer is.
MVM will also release the series Rozen Maiden – Zurückspulen. Mamoru Hatakeyama (Sankarea) is directed the anime at Studio DEEN. Tomomi Mochizuki (House of Five Leaves, Fancy Lala) wrote and supervised the series scripts. Kyuta Sakai (Sankarea, Steins;Gate, When They Cry - Higurashi) served as character designer and chief animation director. Shinkichi Mitsumune returned from the previous Rozen Maiden anime projects to score the music under the Lantis label, and Ali Project again performed the opening theme song. Ryota Ohsaka played Jun Sakurada, while Asami Sanada reprised her role as Jun Sakurada in middle school.
Manga Entertainment will also release the third volume of Dragon Ball Z Kai on both Blu-ray and DVD, featuring episodes 53 to 77.
