Japanese Animation DVD Ranking, October 5-11

The standard edition DVD of Crows Zero II, Takashi Miike's second prequel film based on Hiroshi Takahashi's Crows fighting manga, crept up from #3 to #2, and the film's premium edition DVD followed suit from #5 to #4. The special edition of Chris Nahon's live-action film adaptation of Production I.G's Blood: The Last Vampire anime debuted at #16.
The Gintama Jump Anime Tour 2008 & 2005 DVD became the top-selling OVA so far in 2009 in its second week with 61,226 copies sold. It surpassed the previous record-holder, Kunio Katō's Oscar-winning "pieces of love Vol. 1 La Maison en Petits Cubes" ("Tsumiki no Ie" or House of Blocks) and its 54,000 copies. The third highest-selling OVA DVD is the limited first edition of the first Hetalia - Axis Powers volume, which sold 28,000 copies.
