Bushiroad Unveils Plans for 2017 at The GAMA Trade Show
Las Vegas (March 15, 2017) – Bushiroad presented a slew of major announcements at the GAMA Trade Show 2017. Besides updates on events and each of the existing English edition trading card games; Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz and Future Card Buddyfight, Bushiroad also gave attendees a first glimpse of their new trading card game, Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy–.
Cardfight!! Vanguard
Cardfight!! Vanguard celebrates its fifth anniversary this year and a Critical Trigger Pack Campaign will be held to kick off the festivities. In the upcoming Cardfight!! Vanguard G Booster Pack 10: Raging Clash of the Blade Fangs, a purchase of six packs will entitle one to an exclusive Foil Critical Trigger PR pack. A total of 26 types will be available.
Future Card Buddyfight
The Future Card Buddyfight animation series will embark on its fourth season titled “Future Card Buddyfight X”, with new adventures for the protagonist Gao Mikado and his friends. Fans of the English dubbing will also be delighted to know that English dub episodes will be returning for the new season. The English subtitled episodes will start airing on the 1st of April while the English dub episodes will be available from the 15th of April.

Weiss Schwarz
Bushiroad also announced the animation titles featured in upcoming English edition Weiss Schwarz products from April to July of 2017.
On April 28, 2017, characters from the animation “Sword Art Online” will return to the Weiss Schwarz stage with the upcoming Re: Edit release consisting of both new and popular cards from previous expansions. An “Accel・World” Trial Deck and Booster Pack will also be launched on May 19, 2017. Last but not least, June and July 2017 marks the time highly anticipated titles, “Persona 5” and “BanG Dream!” join the Weiss Schwarz product lineup.
Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy–
Apart from updates on the existing games, Bushiroad also unveiled the new English exclusive game, Dragoborne –Rise to Supremacy– at the GAMA Trade Show. It is a strategic trading card game with unique mechanics that involve the use of dice within gameplay. The art style and setting of the game are also notable for their departure from Bushiroad's flagship games. Dragoborne is set to be released on August 4, 2017.
Vanguard & Buddyfight Grand Festival 2017
The “Vanguard & Buddyfight Ultra Big Card Fes!!!” is an annual event held in Tokyo, Japan, featuring the trading card games, Cardfight!! Vanguard and Future Card Buddyfight. This year, the event will be renamed as the “Vanguard & Buddyfight Grand Festival” and travel out of Japan for the first time to debut in California, USA.
Attendees of the event will also be able to purchase certain products such as the Cardfight!! Vanguard G Trial Deck Vol. 14, Cardfight!! Vanguard G Clan Booster Vol. 5 and Buddyfight X Booster Pack Vol. 2 ahead of everyone else. There will also be an exciting lineup of card game tournaments, special guests, exclusive merchandise and promotional goods. Event tickets will be available online and in stores on March 31, 2017. Bushiroad Championship Series 2017
The Bushiroad Championship Series 2017 (BCS2017) is Bushiroad's new international tournament series for their existing English edition Trading Card Games. This year, the Regional Championships will be held at over 30 locations worldwide. A fully sponsored invitation to the World Finals in Japan will also be awarded to every champion of a main tournament at the Regional Championships. An estimated number of 120 players will be flying to Japan, and this should mark the highest attendance for an English edition World Finals since the launch of an international tournament circuit.
