Aniplex of America Announces Oreimo 2 DVD Complete Box Set

SANTA MONICA, CA (June 7, 2014) –Fans of the OREIMO franchise are in for a treat this summer as Aniplex of America announced their plans to release OREIMO 2 on DVD in a Limited Edition Complete Box Set on August 5th. At their industry panel at A-Kon in Dallas, Texas, Aniplex of America has also confirmed that pre-orders for this item will begin on Monday June 9th and will be available for sale in the U.S. and Canada on their official homepage (www.AniplexUSA.com/oreimo).

The OREIMO 2 DVD Limited Edition Complete Box Set will feature the entire TV series (episodes 1-13) plus 3 OVA episodes never-seen-on-TV. The set features the series in the original Japanese audio with English subtitles on 4 DVD discs. The box set is planned to feature numerous bonus contents and materials including the textless openings, textless ending for all 16 episodes, SD characters preview videos, SD characters “Special Short Movies,” “Gal-ge” style short movies, the web previews, a set of 16 pin-up postcards (featuring the ending cards from every episode), a 44-page deluxe booklet, the “From Chiba to the World” poster, and a reversible DVD case wrap. Fans that purchase the OREIMO 2 DVD Limited Edition Complete Box Set will also get to enjoy the deluxe box featuring a totally new and exclusive illustration specifically incorporating familiar locations of Los Angeles by the character designer Hiroyuki Oda.

OREIMO 2 is an anime adaptation and sequel series to the popular light novel series by author Tsukasa Fushimi. The story features the day-to-day activities of Kyousuke Kousaka, a laid-back high school student, and his younger sister Kirino Kousaka. These siblings, who were previously not on speaking terms, begin to see one another through a different light after Kyousuke learns of his younger sister's peculiar hobbies involving anime and adult themed PC games. The story of OREIMO 2 picks up right where the first season of OREIMO left off featuring the familiar antics of Kyousuke, Kirino, and their friends.
