Studio WIT (Attack On Titan, Hal) to be Anime Guests of Honour at London Comic Con
Dark fantasy Attack on Titan has been the anime sensation of the year, so we're delighted to announce that the studio behind the smash hit series are to be the Anime Guests of Honour at MCM London Comic Con when it returns to ExCel next month.
Studio WIT are best known for their adaptation of Kodansha's massively popular manga, Attack on Titan. Set in a world where the last remnants of humanity shelter behind city walls from the ravages of the fearsome Titans, Attack on Titan follows teenager Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and their friend Armin Arlert as they join the Survey Corps - a military order sworn to destroy their gigantic, man-eating foes.
Producer George Wada will be joined by Studio WIT members Katsuhiko Kitada (character designer on Hal, animation director for Attack on Titan), Tetsuya Nakatake (animation producer for Attack on Titan) and one of the studio's rising stars, Ryōtarō Makihara, to give comic con attendees a sneak peek at their latest movie Hal. Makihara's feature length directorial debut, Hal is a near future romance about a girl named Kurumi, who is sent a robot substitute when her boyfriend is killed in plane crash.
Wada, Kitada, Nakatake and Makihara will also be taking part in an onstage panel on Studio Wit, as well as signing autographs for fans on both Saturday and Sunday.
