Bunkasai Culture Festival Sunday March 11 on Great Portland Street, London
AID FOR JAPAN is our new, small, non-profit organization to support orphans of the Japanese tsunami and earthquake that occurred on 11 March 2011.
Over 20, 000 people died on this day.
On the one year anniversary of the disaster we plan to introduce our charity's activities with a display of Japanese culture at the following event:
What: Bunkasai
When: Sunday, 11 March 2012. Public opening time 9:30- 16:30
Where: Park Crescent Conference Centre – 229 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PN www.pccc.co.uk
On stage: Japanese Traditional Dance, Tea Ceremony, Music with Shamisen and Taiko, Kimono Fashion Show, Cosplay show, Martial Arts & Budo, Japanese drama and music, Traditional flower arrangement show.
Plus: Lectures on Shinto, Bushido, calligraphy, Origami, etc. Raffle and sale of Bunkasai tickets.
We will have a one minute silence at 14:46 ( memorial service).
We will continue to support the orphan children for a further 19 years until they become adults at the traditional age of 20.
We are requesting donations from English speaking countries such as the U.K. Canada, Australia, USA, Holland, etc.
