Davenport, Iowa - January 7 - QC Anime-zing! is excited to announce new guests for 2011, Russell Lissau and Trevor Mueller, along with the return of Johnny Yong Bosch and Eyeshine. He voices the main character Nero in Devil May Cry 4 and performed voiceover work in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, .hack//G.U., Persona 4, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Xenosaga, Wild Arms 4, Disgaea 3, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, Eternal Sonata and Bumblebee in Transformers: War for Cybertron. When Johnny is not voice acting, he is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of his band Eyeshine.
Eyeshine is a four piece, "edge rock" band originating in West Hills, California. We should probably add something cool in this bio about "how promising we sound" but we'd be lying. Maybe you should just come check us out and let us know what you think. If we suck, please don't throw tomatoes - we prefer a bag of Peanut M&M's, Skittles, Hot Cheetos or Money (unmarked). Hopefully you'll like us and want to be our BFF. Members include Johnny, Maurice, Eddie, and Crystal. More details can be found at www.eyeshine.net or www.myspace.com/eyeshine.
Russell Lissau is a mild-mannered newspaper reporter in suburban Chicago, by day. By night, he battles evil writing comic books including THE BATMAN STRIKES!, THE 29 and SHREK. He broke into comics in 2005 with the lead story in BATMAN ALLIES SECRET FILES AND ORIGINS. (A lifelong Batman fan who dressed up as the Caped Crusader as a child, he can't believe his luck.) His most recent projects include two short stories in OMEGA COMICS PRESENTS: the crime thriller “Greedy,” with artist mpMann, and the cop drama “One of Us,” with artist John Bivens. Never one to shy away from a crowd, Lissau also leads workshops at libraries throughout the Chicago area about writing comics. To learn more, check out www.facebook.com/russell.lissau
Trevor Mueller, born in Ann Arbor, MI, was shocked to discover his latent writing abilities. “Am I from another planet?” he used to ponder as a child, but alas he soon discovered that he was a mere mortal by crashing his bike into a tree.
Trevor works at an advertising agency by day, and writes comics by night. He is the writer/artist/creator of several popular webcomic series including the fantasy epic THE TEMPLE OF A THOUSAND TEARS and the teen-rated gag strip @$$HOLE!, both of which are self-published and have been nominated for several web comic awards. His web comic work can be found on his website, www.trevoramueller.com, along with his near-daily updates of movie, video game, and comic reviews. In addition to self-published web comics, Trevor has also written and self-published several other works including the all-ages stories ALBERT THE ALIEN and JUNKYARD CHASE.
He has also contributed stories to several anthologies, including HOPE: THE HERO INITIATIVE from Ronin Studios and READING WITH PICTURES from the non-profit of the same name that advocates the use of comics in the classroom to promote literacy and improve education for all students.
In 2009 Trevor joined Reading With Pictures as their Marketing Director, combining his love of comics, education, and advertising. Trevor gives lectures and presentations throughout the mid-west at conventions and schools on several topics, including the power of combining creativity and literacy.
Trevor resides in the city of Chicago, with his cat Waffles.
