Juan Pablo Vera to be Named Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Southern Latin American Continental Champion
LIMA, Peru (July 2, 2010) – Over the course of the weekend, hundreds of Duels ensued during the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) World Championship Qualifier 2010 held at the Centro de Convenciones Atlantic City. But it was Juan Pablo Vera that handily beat out a pool of talented players representing eight South Continental countries to claim the title of Continental Champion and earn the opportunity to compete in the World Championship in the United States in August.
As the crowd watched in anticipation, it was Juan Pablo Vera - Argentina who expertly played Frog OTK to out-Duel Walter Farfan Rodriguez of Peru who gave it his all with his X-Saber Deck.
By winning, Juan Pablo Vera secured a spot at the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship to be held in Long Beach, CA (USA) from August 14th – 15th and other prizes.
