About Ikki Tousen

There was a time when ambitious warriors fought for their lords, their people and their country. And there was a time when warriors battled for honor, pride and their own name. It was said that the spirits and souls of such brave warriors were sealed into distinctive comma-shaped beads called "magatama" which were handed down to their descendents. The magatama dispersed widely throughout time and history. Now the young girls who inherited these strange jewels are suddenly awakened and set out for battles of conquest just as the ancient warriors fought for their dream some 1800 years ago. Their strong spirits lead these young fighting beauties to battle for ultimate victory.

FUNimation Entertainment will release the series on DVD in 2009.
