Anime Expo 2011 Champions Creativity and Skill By Awarding AMV Winners Bigger-Than-Ever Cash Prizes
LOS ANGELES (February 9, 2011) – Here's your chance to win BIG by showcasing your creativity, skill and love for anime in the Anime Expo 2011 “Anime Music Video Contest” (AMVs). One of the most beloved and highest-attended events held at Anime Expo (AX), AMV participants now have another reason to get to work on their submissions: Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to category winners!
This year, contestants will compete for a $2,500 Best of Show prize and $1,500 individual category prizes by editing scenes of animation from Japanese Television, Movies, OVAs and Video Games to the music selection of their choice. Their creations are screened among an audience of over 4,500 fans to see how well they stand up in competition.
