Netflix Streams Hayao Miyazaki and the Heron Documentary in U.K. From December 6

Two-hour documentary covers the making of Miyazaki's Oscar-winning The Boy and the Heron

Netflix in the U.K. is listing the Hayao Miyazaki and the Heron for streaming from December 6. The two-hour documentary is about the making of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki's The Boy and the Heron anime film.

Max has previously described the documentary:

A documentary that chronicles the making of The Boy and the Heron, filmed with exclusive access to Studio Ghibli across an astonishing seven years.

The Boy and the Heron opened in Japan in July 2023, and sold 1.003 million tickets and earned about US$13.2 million in its first three days in Japan. It streamed on Netflix globally outside of the U.S. and Japan from October 7.
