Ace Attorney Anime's Season 2 Reveals Promo Video, Opening Theme Artist

CAPCOM's stage presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2018 event on Saturday revealed a new promotional video for the Ace Attorney Season 2 (Gyakuten Saiban ~Sono "Shinjitsu," Igiari!~ Season 2) anime.
The event also revealed that Tomohisa Yamashita will perform the show's opening theme song "Never Lose." The show's official Twitter account had revealed last month that halca will perform the new anime's ending theme song "Starting Blue."
Additionally, the event revealed that a "Gyakuten Saiban Orchestra Concert" will take place on March 30, 2019 in Tokyo.
The second season will premiere on October 6 on YTV and NTV at 5:30 p.m. JST, the same timeslot as the first anime. The show will replace My Hero Academia, which is currently airing in this timeslot. Funimation will stream a simuldub for the series.
Original game director Shu Takumi is collaborating on the anime. A-1 Pictures is again handling animation production, with returning staff members director Ayumu Watanabe, series writer Atsuhiro Tomioka, composer Kaoru Wada, and character designer and chief animation director Keiko Ōta. Yukiko Imai is serving as assistant director.
The returning cast includes:
- Yūki Kaji as Phoenix Wright/Ryūichi Naruhodō
- Aoi Yūki as Maya Fey/Mayoi Ayasato
- Masashi Tamaki as Miles Edgeworth/Reiji Mitsurugi
- Chie Nakamura as Mia Fey/Chihiro Ayasato
- Masami Iwasaki as Dick Gumshoe/Keisuke Itonokogiri
- Tooru Nara as Larry Butz/Masashi Yahari
Additionally, Hiroaki Hirata will play Godot.
The first series premiered in April 2016 and covered the first two games in the series. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Funimation released the anime on home video in two parts in January and May.
